FAQ on Leak Removal
How does Fanlock find my leaked content?
Fanlock uses a combination of automated scanning and manual review. Our systems continuously monitor Google search results, over 10 million websites, social media platforms, and more than 11 million Telegram channels (on applicable plans). When potential leaks are detected, our team reviews them to confirm they're unauthorized copies of your content.
How long does it take to remove a leak?
Removal times vary depending on the platform:
- Google Search Results: Typically 24-72 hours for delisting
- Major Social Media: Usually 24-48 hours
- Tube Sites: Varies from 24 hours to several days
- File Hosting Sites: Typically 48-72 hours
- Foreign/Offshore Sites: Can take longer; we escalate as needed
- Telegram: Varies based on channel type and responsiveness
What if a site doesn't respond to the takedown?
We don't give up when sites ignore initial requests. Our escalation process includes:
- Contacting the hosting provider
- Reaching out to CDN providers
- Reporting to payment processors
- Filing additional legal complaints as appropriate
We pursue every available avenue to get your content removed.
Do you guarantee 100% removal?
While we achieve high success rates, no service can guarantee 100% removal. Some sites operate in jurisdictions that don't respect DMCA requests. However, we continue to work to minimize the spread and visibility of leaked content through all available channels.
Will Fanlock accidentally take down my official content?
No. Every takedown is human-verified before being submitted. You can also use our Safelist feature to whitelist your official accounts, fan pages, and promotional content to ensure they're never targeted.
How do I know if my content is being leaked?
